The Walp Road Bridge over the Nescopeck Creek in Sugarloaf Twp. There are conflicting dates on when it was built from what I researched on the web. One site said it was constructed in 1889 by Dean & Westbrook, New York, NY. That may have been an existing bridge that was in place before the current span you see today which the majority of other web sites dedicated to bridges say the bridge was built in 1915. Either way, probably one of Luzerne County's oldest bridges still used today. The Walp Road bridge underwent significant renovations in 2004.
